Terms and Conditions

1. Service Overview

WindStory ("Service") is an AI-powered document-to-presentation conversion service. By agreeing to these terms, you accept the conditions for using the Service.

2. Eligibility

• Individuals aged 14 or older, or legal entities, may use the Service.
• Authentication through a Google account is required.
• Unauthorized use of another person's account is prohibited.

3. Subscription and Payment

• A monthly subscription is required to use the Service.
• A free trial is provided upon new registration.
• Withdrawal Right: If you have not used the service within 7 days of payment, you are entitled to a full refund. However, refunds are limited if the service has been partially used or 7 days have passed. (In accordance with Korean E-Commerce Act)
• Subscription services are automatically renewed on a monthly basis.
• Upon subscription cancellation, the service remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Monthly slide generation quota expires at the end of the subscription period.
• Subscription upgrades are prorated based on remaining days.

4. Content Ownership and Data Usage

• Copyright of uploaded documents belongs to the original copyright holder.
• Generated Content Rights: Intellectual property rights of infographics generated by paid users belong to the respective user. Free users are granted non-exclusive usage rights.
• No AI Training: The Company does not use documents uploaded by users or generated results as training data for AI models.
• Uploading illegal or copyright-infringing content is prohibited.
• YouTube Content Responsibility: When using the YouTube video feature, users are solely responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use the content. WindStory only extracts publicly available subtitles and does not grant copyright permissions. Users must obtain permission from original content creators for commercial use.

5. Service Restrictions and Compensation

• Abuse of the Service, hacking attempts, and excessive API calls are prohibited.
• Service access may be restricted without prior notice for violations.
• Temporary service interruptions may occur due to maintenance and updates.
• Service Outage Compensation: For paid subscribers, if service interruption exceeds 24 consecutive hours due to Company's fault, the subscription period will be extended accordingly.

6. Disclaimer

• Accuracy of AI-generated results is not guaranteed.
• We are not liable for indirect damages resulting from Service use.
• These terms may be modified with prior notice.

7. Account Management

• Users are responsible for securely managing their account information.
• Please contact customer support immediately if unauthorized account use is suspected.
• You may delete the account in Settings; active service data then enters an irreversible deletion process.
• Backups expire under the restricted retention schedule, while records required by law are retained separately and then destroyed.

8. Service Changes and Termination

• Part or all of the Service may be changed or terminated with prior notice.
• At least 30 days' notice will be given before service termination.
• Remaining subscription period will be refunded upon termination.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• Disputes related to Service use shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
